[Bug 43530] Kernel 2.6.15-22.34 fails to see e1000 card or atheros OR ipw3945

Description:

I just installed kernel 2.6.15-22.34 and now have no networking
whatsoever. Dmesg shows:

which suggests a problem with the firmware or the driver for the e1000
NIC.

Also:

Not sure what this means, but I definitely don't see the ipw3945 listed
anywhere useful in the system.

And finally I also see this in dmesg, which explains why the Netgear
PCMCIA wifi card I have plugged in is not working:
