Sorry guys but I have responded...weeks ago. I got Martin's request through email...so I responded the same way!!
I've even posted request on ubuntuforums to see if somebody wanted to help.

Hi there,
I downloaded the Live CD, md5sum checked fine.
I went Logout>Suspend and not only my Dell optical mouse did not work but NOTHING worked at all resuming from Suspend. No App, Places, System and so on. I even had to power out using my button.
The Wired Network Connection icon just kept spinning.
Then>Ctrl Alt F1 and it said this>

ubuntu at ubuntu: $ [4295459.836000] hub 1-0:1.0: Cannot enable port 1 Maybe cable is bad.

If you need anything else, do not hesitate to ask but remember I am a noob...if you have something to explain,make it plain English.Tx.
