** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: linux-source-2.6.15 => base-installer
     Severity: Normal => Wishlist
       Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed

** Summary changed:

- Wrong Kernel installed ( 386 instead of 686 )
+ 386 kernel installed on 686-capable machines

** Description changed:

- Althoug
- cat /proc/cpuinfo
-
- shows I am using a Pentium III Ubuntu 6.06 flight 6 is installing a 386
- Kernel, unlike other distributions i.e. Debian.
-
- Also the 686 Kernel for Dapper is offered ONLY with SMP support enabled,
- which causes a lot of drivers to crash the system.
