Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
hello! I'm using a ipw2200 card in an asus laptop and I noticed that
acpi scripts currently use power/state file to switch off the card.
Since this behaviour cause lots of problems if the module gets unloaded
when power/state is set to 2 (disabled) and since the official
documentation doesn't say anything about power/state file I think that
rf_kill should be used instead.

you can find this file in /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ipw2200/*/rf_kill

1 means card off, 0 card on
