I had to set acpi-support NOT to remove the ipw2200 module on suspend. This cured the problem for me. As of 2.6.15, the ipw2200 module seems to deal with sleep just fine when it remains in the kernel. -- suspend hangs ipw2200 https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/36403
