[Bug 12214] After shutdown, screen output disappears but laptop does not actually power off

This bug is still present in Dapper Flight 5, kernel 2.6.15-19. I have
the latest BIOS (v 1.70). I looked at the patch and it seems the DMI is
trying to match to an older bios (v 1.60). I am going to try downgrading
my bios to see if the issue is resolved.
