Sorry, my last note was a bit short maybe.

To be clear: sky2 had two problems, both causing hangs for me. Current
Ubuntu does give me hangs, 2.6.16-rc6 solves the hangs. The bcollins git
tree at kernel.org seems to fit this, sky2.c is at 0.11 from 2005-12-24.

Problem #1 is in Ubuntu's 0.11 and was fixed with 0.15 from kernel
2.6.16-rc6 (not -rc5).

Problem #2 was introduced with MSI support, which was solved by backing
out MSI support, also with 2.6.16-rc6. Upstream plans on reimplementing
MSI based on vendor docs for 2.6.17, which is not topic of this bug
report, though.

So it's good to hear you planned to sync already, but it seems it got
lost somehow.
