[Bug 35054] Cannot mount FAT partitions

Description:
When I mount a FAT filesystem I get the following messages in the
syslog:

This happens for my iPod and two CF cards, so I am doubting that the
filesystems on all of these are broken.  Is there a way I can debug
this?
