[Bug 34209] 2.6.15-17-k7 doesn't boot on Athlon 2000+

Description:
Breezy was installed on this machine and everything was working. On
2006.05.09 the system was updated to Dapper (changed "breezy" to
"dapper" on /etc/apt/sources.list, apt-get update, apt-get dist-
upgrade).

Since then, the most recent kernel (2.6.15-17) doesn't boot. Tried the
K7 and 386 versions, without result. The only remaining option was to
boot with 2.6.12-10-k7, from Breezy, but system boots up with several
errors and it is quite slow.

boot

(I believe both are messages from grub, not from the kernel)
