Thanks for notice the new version Luka.  The last time I checked it was
1.0.12 without notice a new version.

Upgrading to the driver ipw2200 1.1.0 the problem gets solved.

There is a only strange message:
[4309761.923000] eth0: NETDEV_TX_BUSY returned; driver should report queue full via ieee_device->is_queue_full.

but it seems a minor issue in the driver.
