Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33513

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I have no idea if this is the right package to have filed against, but
it seemed the best guess.

I have an HP nw8240 laptop that I'm trying to load dapper flight 4 on.
I've tried both the live cd and the install cd. Neither will boot their
default kernel. They give an I/O error that the ramdisk could not be
found. The server install kernel on the install cd, however, does boot
successfully.

To eliminate the possibility of this being bad image/cdr/burn/etc I've
downloadedand burned the image nearly 10 times, on 3 machines, at
different speeds, with multiple blank cds, and only this one machine has
had a problem with any of them.
