[Bug 33273] [Dapper] /etc/mkinitramfs/DSDT.aml not being used?

Description:
For a long time, I have had the battery function in my Dell laptop fixed
by a custom DSDT table put in

   /etc/mkinitramfs/DSDT.aml

As of a couple of days ago, my latest upgrade in Dapper caused acpi to
no longer be able to read the battery.

'acpi -b' returns nothing.

Was something changed to cause the custom DSDT.aml to no longer be used.
I see no comments about a custom DSDT in dmesg or /var/log/syslog after
booting.

I did a

 sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-`uname -r`

and a reboot to make sure this was done, and it didn't fix the problem.
