[Bug 33934] Re: USB key works in Breezy not in Dapper

I found that the USB key stopped working after I used the "system
upgrade" option of the update manager.

lsmod showed usb-storage module not present. After I modprobed it, the
usb LED lit up in the appropriate sequence of flashes, but I did not
find it mounted.

Suspicion: update was run without USB key in place and the modules and
support were not installed and/or configured.

As I needed USB storage very badly, I reinstalled from Dapper CD and it
now works. Machine is an IBM 300 GL (600 MHz Intel P3).
