I'm also experiencing this, or something similar, with kernel 15-23.
I regularly get a 2 minute delay after the line "Mounting root file system..." is displayed.

However, occasionally it only stops for 10 to 20 seconds at this point.
I haven't been able to work out what I've done differently to change the
delay - it seems to be random.

This happens both on cold boots, and when resuming from hibernate.
