I installed 2.6.17-1 and 2.6.17-2 from edgy repositories. I reboot after each installation : Whan I try to remove the 2.15-22, I still get the message :

  You are running a kernel (version 2.6.15-22-powerpc) and attempting to remove
  the same version. This is a potentially disastrous action. Not only
  will /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.15-22-powerpc be removed, making it impossible to boot

  a new kernel), it will also remove all modules under the directory

So I got four Linux kernel installed on my up-to-date edgy eft, and I'm
still using the oldest.

When I installed the 2.6.17-1, I got this message :
