I can confirm that the update to acpi-support 0.85 also solved my
problem.

IBM Thinkpad T43, ATI X300 (M300), fglrx driver

I noticed after the recent update to the kernel 2.6.15-25-686 that
suspend wasn't working (and almost burnt my hand taking my laptop out of
its bag), and sure enough, there was an update waiting for me when I
turned it out.
