[Bug 49848] Laptop too hot

Public bug reported:

Under Ubuntu my laptop (Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO M7400) is at all times
much more hot than under WinXP. Most confusing is that the heat comes
from where the RAM modules are situated, this part of laptop was never
hot under WinXP.

I suppose this affects the battery-time, since some extra energy is
coming from the laptop.
