If I do rmmod bcm43xx and them modprobe bcm43xx it doesn't seem to do
much for me, and I get this in dmesg:

The dreaded "eth1: link is not ready"

Fraid it doesn't seem to be working for me still (I even tried the
ifdown eth1 down/up sequence)...
