*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 34172 ***

Launched the PC LiveCD on an unpartioned P3 machine. The GUI displayed
"Mounting root file system" for quite a while, then displayed in text
"Uncompressing Linux. . . Ok, booting the kernel." Then a series of
"[nnn.nnn] hdd: ide_intr: huh? expected Null handler on exit" and
"[nnn.nnn] I/O error on device hdd, logical block 357298". There were
long delays after each line. I cancelled the process.

The same CD previously ran fine on another machine (P4) with Windows XP
Pro running. Created the PC Alternate CD and it installed correctly on
the P3 machine using the text installer. FWIW, the CD/DVD players on
both machines have been in use a more than a year w/o problems. RedHat
and Solaris have installed w/o problems on the P3.
