It still hangs, whether I have the keyboard (PS/2) connected or not...
Is it possible that this is an old bug that returned after modifications
were made in the kernel? Not sure, but I think it appeared as the Ubuntu
logo (the one that comes up during boot) was introduced. Maybe the
kernel with the logo at boot time was built on an older kernel?
