[Bug 48845] savage driver does not work with version > 2.6.15-22

hello.

the patches between 2.6.15-22.34 and 2.6.15-23.35 (perhaps "DRM backport
patches") make savage cards crash on using dri. please see bug #46314
and bug #30382

it is confirmed that an up to date system but with version 2.6.15-22.34
does not have this problem.

is there any developer out there?
