when solving this bug, the one helping me with this problem in ubuntu
forums (thx lithorus) suggested it's cause of this change in the kernel:

* libata: Backport of ACPI handling patch.
* ide-acpi: Replaces our old IDE ACPI support code with new and shiney
stuff that should work better on some hardware.
