Ubuntu has taken a whole new direction with it's kernel development
model. We are syncing everything in a publicly available git tree. This
means that there are really no seperate patches, but that doesn't mean
you can't single out changesets with git, if you need to.

Previous to dapper, we used the debian/patches/ mechanism, which at that
point was the "standard" debian way to handle this. It has become way to
cumbersome for our needs, and is really an overhead on maintaining the
kernel package.
