Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6-686-smp

i have a dell inspiron 9400 with an ipw3945 card from intel.
after some time my laptop starts his fans, it sounds like a helicopter starting.
when i open gnome-system-monitor i don't see anything, but when using top i can see that ipw3945 uses 99% of BOTH cpus! (i have a core duo).
the system is unusable, even the mouse lags if i move it. to fix the problem i have to reboot.
sudo killall ipw3945, sudo kill 3329, and so on don't work.
i don't know which package it exactly is, i think linux-source-2.6.15 or linux-restricted-modules.
