I have similar problem on acer tm 292ELCI.
Cel 1.3,
0000:01:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 03)

When I suspend/hibernate it goes just fine, after the resume the bcm43xx doesn't come back if I try to make 
/etc/init.d/networking restart
The machine lockups and only way is hold the power button to switch off.
