I think so.
I cannot boot dapper after a dist-upgrade from breezy at most a week ago nor being able to boot Xubuntu beta install or live CD.
In the mean time I didn't see any solution to this bug on the web.
Maybe the developers lack an old machine like mine (imac g3 233) and cannot test the solution suggested... so I did it.
