actually, it's probably enough to get 
c7c82987b4844f555d309ccbd42abe95d46822ff
and 
816aa907b909177bdf6e6e6b0d00c5e5a6e2be8c
from linus' tree. However, the former of those requires an ABI bump. 
I'm testing a modified tree with these two patches cherry-picked and backported; will post results ASAP.
