I can confirm that it works fine with 2.6.25-26 (386) .

The dmesg with the  386 kernel is

[4306707.663000] input: Logitech Logitech USB Keyboard as /class/input/input6
[4306707.663000] input: USB HID v1.10 Device [Logitech Logitech USB Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:1d.1-1

which appears to be the same as with the 686 kernel :/
