Public bug reported:

Affects: kernel-package (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)

Description:

lspci -v gives:

It seems Fedora have fixed this in one of their kernel package releases:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?p=430263

There is an article here showing the same problem:
http://blog.dataloss.nl/perma/ubuntu-510-breezy-on-dell-dimension-9150/

Fix stops working though if the user upgrades beyond 2.6.12-9.
