[Bug 29317] 2.6.15-13-686 kernel hangs during boot.

Description:
I just used synaptic to upgrade Dapper (I do this every couple of days,
though it is foolish of me.) 2.6.15-13-686 hangs during boot, at the 4th
(or so) step, saying something like "Detecting and configuring
hardware". 2.6.15-12-686 does not have this problem.

This is an Intel 32-bit x86 - A Dell Dimension 5000 desktop PC.
