Not sure what the issue is. I see it detected the uli as eth0 just fine:

uli526x: ULi M5261/M5263 net driver, version 0.9.3 (2005-7-29)
GSI 23 sharing vector 0x3A and IRQ 23
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:11.0[A] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 58
eth0: ULi M5263 at pci0000:00:11.0, 00:13:8f:4a:29:30, irq 58.

Can you attach the output of "ifconfig eth0"? After you boot the liveCD, can you
go to System->Administration->Networking and see if the interface shows up there
and allows configuration?
