Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32893
Description changed to:
I have an Acer Aspire 1694WLMi notebook.
This problem happens on Dapper Drake 6.04 Flight 4
with kernel: 2.6.15-15-386 and also 2.6.15-16-686
I succeeded in fixing the ACPI with another DSDT file
(/etc/mkinitramfs/DSDT.aml and dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.15-16-686)
I tried booting with alot of boot parameters in order to get my
devices on IRQ #10 to work, but everything I tried failed. (Devices
on IRQ #10 are: tg3 networking card, one of the USB devices or
something and a snd_intel8x0 sound card)
I have to boot with "pci=noacpi" otherwise I have a full system
freeze!
I tried booting with following options in order to fix the IRQ #10 problem:
pci=noacpi acpi=off pci=routeirq noapic nolapic pci=biosirq pci=usepirqmask irqpoll irqnodebug
But nothing helped !!
What information do you need to fix this problem ?
I attached "lspci -v" for the devices with IRQ 10
and the part of "dmesg" where the problem is happening, according to me.
I ran Debian flawlessly before (after a kernel recompile to get ACPI to work though)
so I should be able to run Ubuntu/Kubuntu right?
Please help me out here, because I miss Linux ;) !!!!
And I -REALLY- want my new desktop OS to be the Debian-based Ubuntu :)
Thanks in advance!
