Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32784

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 kernel-image-2.6.15-16-386-di (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I had to reboot my laptop because of an upgrade to my Dapper system and
after boot I noticed that my MMC card was being recognized by Ubuntu. I
removed the MMC card and inserted it again but it now fails to mount the
drive.

The output of /var/log/kern.log shows the following:

Feb 24 21:55:09 localhost last message repeated 2 times
Feb 24 21:55:09 localhost kernel: [4296120.312000] generic_make_request: Trying to access nonexistent block-device mmcblk0 (0)
Feb 24 21:55:09 localhost kernel: [4296120.320000] generic_make_request: Trying to access nonexistent block-device mmcblk0 (0)
Feb 24 21:55:09 localhost kernel: [4296120.320000] generic_make_request: Trying to access nonexistent block-device mmcblk0 (0)
Feb 24 21:55:09 localhost kernel: [4296120.321000] generic_make_request: Trying to access nonexistent block-device mmcblk0 (0)
Feb 24 21:55:09 localhost last message repeated 3 times
Feb 24 21:55:09 localhost kernel: [4296120.322000] generic_make_request: Trying to access nonexistent block-device mmcblk0 (0)

And this is somewhat weird because an ls shows this result:

brw-rw---- 1 root disk 254, 0 2006-02-24 21:55 /dev/mmcblk0

Which should mean that the device does exist. I have not tried to reboot
the laptop again but probably it'll be able to mount the device.
