Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32496

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 linux-image-2.6.15-16-k7 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
With the recent Dapper kernel image my PS/2(USB to PS/2) mouse stops working in X soon after gnome starts.
My mouse stops working when GNOME has loaded, probably when powernow-k8 slows down the processor.
This is about the same time dmesg says this happends:
4296074.191000] powernow-k8: error - out of sync, fix 0xc 0xa, vid 0x8 0xa
[4296076.195000] powernow-k8: error - out of sync, fix 0xa 0x2, vid 0xa 0x12
[4296077.203000] powernow-k8: error - out of sync, fix 0x2 0xc, vid 0x12 0x8
However this does also happen with linux-image-2.6.15-15-k7, but it doesn't affect my mouse. With KDE and Xgl (don't know if it's related) it worked about half of the time with the -16 kernel image. I'm now using normal Xorg.
