I just made a new dapper installation, and this bug is still present:

It asks:

    Do you want me to create a link from /boot/initrd.img-2.6.15-15-686
to initrd.img?[Yn]

and then proceeds to create a link from /initrd.img to
boot/initrd.img-2.6.15-15-686.
