Description:
I am using Ubuntu Dapper in the moment which updates it's kernel fairly
often. The problem ist that firmware files are kept in
/lib/firmware/<kernel version>. I manually put some firmware files for
DVB-Hardware in this directory. On each kernel update I have to
move/copy/link this files to the new directory. It would be nice if
there would a bit a directory where I could put this files and ubuntu
would take care that they are found by the current kernel version.
