Hi Ben - Thanks for your work on Ubunutu!

What would be required to get this fixed in breezy?  How much work/time
would that require?

I ask cause it seems leaving every laptop owner who want's to back up his data with this difficult to notice data loss bug is a bad thing to do to Ubuntu's users.
