Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/30350
Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
Compal CL56 laptops have a 'software' wireless switch. On laptops with
an older BIOS version this wireless switch is disabled by default and
wireless will not work. After modprobe acerhk the wireless can be
enabled with echo 1 > /proc/driver/acerhk/wirelessled
The acerhk.ko kernel module is also required for application key
support. After modprobe acerhk the two application keys work without
further configuration.
