Hi Daniel,
At one time in the past I had tried to use an Indigo IO PCMCIA sound
card. It didn't work, so I went back to the ac97 sound. At this point
I don't recall if I recompiled the alsa drivers with ac97, or used
Synaptic. It was at least six months ago now. I kind of recall having
trouble making Syanptic work after compiling my own, but I'm not sure
anymore. Is there a way I can check on my system now?
Two other questions for you if you have time.
1) Where can I find what the changes to new software showing up in the
updates are?
2) If I compiled the ALSA drivers once, is there a way of getting back
to using Syanptic and the original drivers?
Thanks,
Rob
