Public bug reported:

Install Dapper on a Sony VAIO VGN-S560P. Once it's installed and
upgraded, click on the battery icon and select Hibernate. The screen
flashes a bit, you see the hard drive light light up for long enough
that it seems likely that the hibernation state was actually written
*somewhere* on the disk, and then it shuts off. Start up again.
Dapper goes through a normal boot sequence, rather than restoring the
hibernation state.

This is running a vanilla Dapper install as of about twenty minutes
before this bug report was submitted.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Medium
         Status: Needs Info
