Public bug reported:

I have been using a usb mouse with ubuntu hoary & breezy, but after
updating to dapper, the mouse causes the system to hang on boot. This
happened with both a dist-upgraded system and a fresh flight 6 install.

The following appears before the crash when booting in safe mode: -

ehci_hcd 0000.00.00.03.3: EHCI Controller
ehci_hcd 0000.00.00.03.3: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 3
ehci_hcd 0000.00.00.03.3: irq 185, io mem 0xdffef00
ehci_hcd 0000.00.00.03.3: USB 2.0 started, EHCI 1.00, driver 10 Dec 2004
hub 3-0:1.0: USB hub found
hub 3-0:1.0: 6 ports detected

It fails at this point. The mouse is a Saitek M-188, but I can't say
more than that at the moment because the system hangs if I plug it in
after it has booted correctly.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Low
         Status: Needs Info
