ah sorry:
I'm not sure about the brand of motherboard, but it has a VIA chipset.
sata controller: VIA VT6420 SATA RAID
it's configged with just one harddisk though
furthermore is it an amd64 system, although it's running the 32bit
variant of ubuntu dapper drake.
