Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
on ibooks G4 (latest modell/june2005) there is a problem with the usb
touchpad. If you use the mousebutton while the iBook is in suspend2ram
(aka sleep), after awaking the touchpad didn't work until reload (with
rmmod/modprobe) ohci_hcd. After this, the touchpad is recognized as an
usb mouse and ist too fast and the cool synaptics features like 2
-finger-tap and scroll on the right edge didn't work anymore.

Is it possible to deactivate the touchpad, while it's on sleep. So the
kernel (or whatever) ignore every event from the touchpad. (you push the
mousebutton also when the lid is pressed on the case, e.g. a narrow full
backpack)

Apple does this in mac os x. You cant wake up the iBook with the
touchpad button in macosx.
