Description:
When I try to:
modprobe aic7xxx
I get:
FATAL: Error inserting aic7xxx (/lib/modules/2.6.15-21-686/kernel/drivers/scsi/aic7xxx/aic7xxx.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
The relevant lines in the dmesg are:
[ 3204.690383] aic7xxx: Unknown symbol spi_populate_sync_msg
[ 3204.693334] aic7xxx: Unknown symbol spi_populate_width_msg
[ 3204.694644] aic7xxx: Unknown symbol spi_populate_ppr_msg
Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'linux-image-2.6'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.
