Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 rt2500 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
on an up to date dapper, using the rt2500 driver, the ra0 interface is
correctly detected, scanning works fine but I can't actually join a
network.

I removed all authentification from my AP for testing, it didn't solve anything.
Same card/AP works fine with breezy live-cd

Once it seemed to connect, it got the right IP address but network was unreachable anyway (I couldn't even ping the AP)
I can't run RaConfig2500, it doesn't find the driver (which is loaded!)

$ uname -a
Linux mem 2.6.15-19-386 #1 PREEMPT Mon Mar 20 16:46:02 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

$ dmesg | grep ra0
[4294721.519000] ra0 (WE) : Driver using old /proc/net/wireless support, please fix driver !
[4294815.024000] ra0: no IPv6 routers present
[4294898.422000] ra0: no IPv6 routers present
[.....]
[4297711.131000] ra0: no IPv6 routers present
[4297990.417000] ra0: no IPv6 routers present

$ lspci | grep Ralink
0000:01:08.0 Network controller: RaLink Ralink RT2500 802.11 Cardbus Reference Card (rev 01)

I don't have any other wifi card to test.
