         Status: Rejected
Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)

       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Acer Travelmate 4100WLMi (Spec at http://surrey.lug.org.uk/cgi-
bin/wiki.pl?TravelMate4100WLMi ) can run Breezy if it is an upgrade from
Hoary but not as a fresh install.

I put in a brand new HD to the machine then installed Windows XP Home in
a single NTFS partition taking up 20-odd Gig of disc space. I then tried
to install Breezy. The parameter "noapic" is needed to get any Hoary or
Breezy disc to boot and was used. The installer started and displayed
the "Choose Language" screen at which point the machine locked solid.
The problem is repeatable and happens every time.

I checked the MD5 sum of the image and burned another disc which showed
identical symptoms. The Hoary installer booted fine so this is something
that has changed.
