Public bug reported:
Affects: ndiswrapper (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
I have an Acer Aspire 3003WLMi with a Broadcom wireless card. I'm using
ndiswrapper in Ubuntu stable 5.10 and it works well. In Ubuntu 6.06 I
can see the wireless card but I can't connect to any wireless net. I try
to install ndiswrapper-utils and configure the driver (as in Ubuntu
5.10) but I can't see the new driver wlan0 made by ndiswrapper, and of
course I can't connect to the wireless net. In the console 1 I can see
than the file bcm43xx_microcode5.fw doesn't exist.
