[Bug 39362] SD reader/writer on Sony Vaio TX1XP does not work

Description:
Build into the Sony Vaio VGN-TX1XP is a SD reader/writer, and it does
not work. I put an SD card in the slot and nothing happens - it should
really put a device icon on the desktop. This is tested in Dapper with
Linux ubuntu 2.6.15-20-386 #1 PREEMPT Tue Apr 4 17:48:51 UTC 2006 i686

There are no /dev/sd* devices and when I insert and remove the card,
nothing seems to appear in dmesg or when I run tail -f /var/log/syslog
