[Bug 36345] speedstep won't load on ThinkPad T20 and s30 (mobile coppermine Pentium 3)

Description:
As per the instructions on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/powernowd/+bug/10813
I've added a new bug since speedstep_smi fails to load on my laptops.  I'm running Dapper updated as of 20060323.  speedstep_smi fails to load on both my Thinkpad T20 and my Thinkpad s30.  When I try to load speedstep_smi I get:

FATAL: Error inserting speedstep_smi
(/lib/modules/2.6.15-19-386/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq
/speedstep-smi.ko): No such device

The error is the same even when I load speedstep_lib with
relaxed_check=1 and try modprobe speedstep-smi smi_port=0xb2
smi_cmd=0x82 smi_sig=1
