Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Attempt boot of Dapper Drake Flight 6 install CD.
If D-Link DUB-H4 USB 2.0 Hub is plugged in, then install CD kernel will hang at:
[4294674.556000] ohci1394: $Rev: 1313 $ Ben Collins <bcollins at debian.org>
[4294674.556000] ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:01:13.0[A] -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 185
[4294674.582000] usbcore: registered new driver usbfs
[4294674.582000] usbcore: registered new driver hub
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1c.0[A] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 193
[4294674.582000] ohci_hcd 0000:00:1c.0: OHCI Host Controller

Also tried noapic, nolapci, and pci=noacpi kernel params. Hang occurs at
the same place.

Hub has worked on all other Linux & motherboards.
Note: New motherboard/chipset/bios
ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe
ATI Crossfire Xpress 3200 (RD580 northbridge)
ULi M1575 southbridge
Athlon64 4200 x2 CPU
1GB RAM

I know this bios is buggy because if I unplug USB hub the install finishes. But when I update the kernel to the next version, kernel crashes on next reboot with MP table error for IRQ0. The MPS spec is worse than the ACPI spec. Intel southbridges/motherboards usually map IRQ0 to one of the local APIC extint's whereas Nvidia/ATI map IRQ0 differently. I need to dump the MP tables and check how IRQ0 entry. Hopefully, ASUS will responde to a detailed description of the MP table bug.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'kernel-image-2.6.15-19-386-di'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.
